Water Management Chair - PDG Frank Rothermel
Clean water and proper sanitation is essential for human life. Over 70% of the diseases in the world are waterborne. Currently 750 million people are without access to clean water and nearly 2 billion lack basic sanitation.
The District 6780 Water and Sanitation Committee assists Rotarians and Clubs throughout the district with their water and sanitation projects. We provide help with the grant process as well as technical assistance. Clubs have completed water wells in Ghana, water systems in Thailand, water tanks in Mexico, latrines in Haiti, bathrooms in South Africa, bio-sand filters in the Dominican Republic, replaced water wells in Haiti, and many more.
